Vroeg wakker gezien Bodin ons kwam wakker miauwen. Op het gemak ontbeten en wat opgeruimd. Nog even in het parkje gaan wandelen, onze restjes spaghetti opgegeten en vetrokken richting Boston Logan Airport om onze auto op te halen.
Onze auto bleek een wel heel recente Ford escape te zijn (ruikt nog naar nieuw en maar zo’n 350mi op de teller) met achteruitrijcamera! Kortom: ne chique bak!
De weg op dan maar: aan Valerie de eer. Met bibberende benen de auto ingestapt, maar zo’n automatiek is precies wel een groot gemak.
Rap onderweg kampeermateriaal en wat eten gaan halen. Daarna doorgereden naar onze kamping Shawme Crowell Forest State Camping. In het donker onze tent wonderwel snel opgezet. Nog een hapje gegeten, wat gedronken en vooral: ons in DEET gedrenkt, gezien het hier krioelt van de beestjes! Daarna in onze tent gekropen.
Deze ochtend al vroeg wakker. Op het gemak ontbeten en ons klaar gemaakt voor een dagje Cape Cod. We zijn gestart in Sandwich voor het SeaFest. Eerst een wandelingetje gemaakt naar het strand (gezien het evenement nog niet was begonnen) en daarna boten van de US Coast guard en de Fire department van binnenin bezichtigd. Daarna de arts en crafts standjes afgeschuimd, ne gratis cola gedronken en dan naar het strand getrokken (South Beach) om een uurtje te luieren. Daarna Falmouth bezocht om dan terug te keren naar Sandwich voor wat (vettig) seafood bij Seafood Sam’s. Vanavond vroeg ons bedje in!

We got up early, as Bodin woke us up ‘moauwing’. We had some breakfast and cleaned up a bit. We had a short stroll in the park, ate our spaghetti left overs and took of to the airport to pick up our car.
Our car seemed to be a very recent Ford escape with a lovely new car smell. We even have a camera on the back! To keep it short: what a machine!
With shaky legs, we got into the car. Valerie was the first to drive it. After a bit, we learned that using an automatic car is actually very easy!
We bought us some camping material and food on the way and drove to our camping Shawme crowell state forest camping in Sandwich. It was already dark when we set up our tent, but it went amazingly fast! We had a bite to eat, a soda and then went to bed, soaked in DEET as it’s insect hell in this forest!
We soke up early, had breakfast and got ready to explore Cape Cod. we went to Sandwich for the SeaFest. Firstly we took a stroll along the canal to see the beach. After that we visited a few US Coast guard and Fire Department ships and the arts and crafts market.
After that we went to South Beach to relax for an hour and then visited Falmouth. We went back to Sandwich to have some (greasy) sea food at Seafood Sam’s.
